The reason I've started using it again is that I've had my old ambitions of creating the Fregling Quest story re-ignited. I wanted to hand craft every character, story element, and animation, using it as a way to freshen up on my modeling and texturing skills, for the possibility of getting into the gaming industry's development department at Cyan Worlds (my current employer).
I've completely revised the Fregling Universe, including the concept design for all the races and their backgrounds. Exciting stuff, and I look forward to releasing tidbits of my progress through my beloved DeviantArt account.
To start things off, I want to describe the race of the Freglings to you all:
When I tell you of a Fregling, I want you to envision a people of humanoid features. They are the backbone and focal point of this world I am creating. They are relatively small when compared to the other races of the world, and so they contain an innate curious nature. However, unlike Hobbits, which I'm sure some of you are assuming I'm taking after, Freglings are technologically innovative. But they are not industrialized. They are peaceful and nature respecting. Their works are more in the way of simplistic wood and light metal contraptions. Think of wind-powered and rope 'n' pulley machines. They have flying craft, a thing rarely seen in this world. Because of this the Freglings have been able to spread far across the landscape, adopting trade and craftsmanship as their impact with their own people and amongst the other races that coexist in this world.
They will have a color tinted into their skin. It may be green as that was the traditional color chosen for the Fregling in it's early days of creation. However, there may be a different color more suitable. I'll think about it.
